Our summer has been proceeding nice and slow, really taking it day by day. Doing stuff that seems doable at the time. Sometimes it's a lot, sometimes it's barely nothing. At the summer cottage or at home. Weather has been very flexible, and we try to adjust to that. Mom has been mostly staying away from technical devices, so there aren't that many pictures of me neither.
But here I am, enjoying my favourite bush in our garden. I hope you are enjoying your summer doing whatever you like doing the most!
Oopsie, a slight pause in blogging just happened. First mom claimed to be too busy, and then they went on a holiday! I guess our beloved country has been too chilly this spring (and it still is...), so the humans went to get their dose of warmth and sun from Spain. You won't guess what I did while they were away...
No kitty hostel this time, but a bed and breakfast at a young couple (a colleague of mom) who had a cat too! I had a blast! Before the holiday, we went for a test visit to see if me and their (neutered) mancat would get along, and we did just fine. He was very friendly and curious of me, and after a couple of days I warmed up and started to show some interest for some playtime together. I guess kitty friends are cool even in IRL! Now I'm back home, and I haven't even felt the need to protest on any way. Well, at least so far...
Mom has been too busy for me lately, she has all kinds of excuses. Anyhow, this weekend is also filled with all kinds of celebration, kids birthday and mothers day. So here's an old picture of me in a funny napping position.
Yesterday and today have been pretty crazy, one of the kids had his birthday party. That means a bunch of kids running around the house and garden like crazy. Obviously these zen-like pictures aren't taken during the party. But now things are back to normal again. Happy Caturday to all of you!
The first of May, I got to celebrate it by going outside. It had been snowing (I kid you not) a couple of days, but now we have sunlight. And hard wind which kind of neutralizes the warmth of the sun, but we take what we get.
I found an interesting red feather from the garden to play with. I thought it must have belonged to a very exotic bird, but apparently it was just a left over decorations from Easter. Anyways, it was fun to chase it.
My staff had a day off today, but tomorrow it's back to business. See you!
Mom has a day off, and she plans to spend it cleaning the house. I think it just proves her lack of imagination. Allthough there is a point, after I took a detour under the bed, I got myself all dusty.
So let me just find a calm spot somewhere out of her way to take a nap, and she can start hoovering.
Some birthday I had last Monday... I got a ride to the vet, and a sedative shot on my butt. The rest of the evening was a bit fuzzy I must say. Ok, now this sounded very serious, which luckily wasn't the case.
I've had a strange bump on my other ear, that my staff had been wondering what it was. It didn't bother me, but they decided that the vet should take a look at it. So off to the vet we went.
She took a look at the ear, and stated that it was a harmless "blood-ear", common to many dogs with floppy ears and shaking their heads. Apparently a blood vessel had bursted in my ear, and there was a bump full of blood. The vet emptied the bump, put some meds in it and gave a cheer-me-up shot. All clear.
So, the rest of the evening was quite fuzzy when I was recovering from the trip.
Tired and fuzzy...
Too tired to play with a box...
Mom took an advantage of my tiredness, and held me on her lap for a long while. I don't usually stay like this for long. Didn't mind this setup though.
This is me today, fully recovered from the incident. Allthough my operated ear will remain a bit dented. Mom says that it just adds to my character, and I believe her.
Hello! It's been a while, and everything is fine with me. Thank you for the kind words on my latest post! I'll try to get my mom to post about me every now and then. I don't think she's too busy for that.
The spring is approaching and the sun is shining more and more. Gives us northeners some more energy finally. We have loads of snow suddenly, which kind of suits the kids who are having their winter break next week. Mom would like the snow to melt already, but we stay patient.
Hello all! It's been a while, but we are fine here! Christmas was nice and new years too, lately we have been just chilling inside since the temps outside have been quite freezing, -23 at "best".
So I'm staying here beside the fireplace.
It might be that this will be my retirement from the blogging scene, it seems mom is enjoying offline life more than she has time to be online. If this is the case, me and mom would like to thank you all furry friends who have visited my blog, and left comments etc. It has been so nice and we appreciate every single one of you. Keep up the good work! As someone vice said, cats rule.
